Japan
Climbing through the wooden beam at Tōdai-ji in Nara. It is believed to be the size of the Daibutsu's (Big Buddha's) nostril. If you can fit through it, you will be granted enlightenment, unfortunately not all of us could fit through it (curse you, big climber lats).
Climbing through the rock at Yasui Kompira-gu Shrine in Kyoto. Finally, I also fit through this one, removing the curse of the big climber lats, and I was granted enlightenment.
We enjoyed the amazing food in Japan, we had some amazing tofu dishes like the one from Yudofu Sagano close to Tenryu-ji Temple in Kyoto after our trip down from Otagi Nenbutsuji Temple. Along the route we saw several beautiful temples and gardens, with some pleasant surprises like the Kyoto Japanese Folk Dolls Museum with its amazingly friendly owner who showed us old mechanical dolls, and the hand drawn goshuin we got from the small family owned Shōanin Temple.
